JOB SUMMARY:

The Executive Director, North American Friends of Aish, is a key member of the Aish Global Executive and is responsible for securing the annual budget for Aish Global. This position will oversee all fundraising activities in North America, including personal solicitation of major gifts for Aish, relationship management, and building/managing a team of development professionals throughout North America.

 

The Executive Director, North American Friends of Aish will report directly to the CEO.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build relationships with current donors and prospects to solicit new and grow current gifts by
    • Working with respected, motivated, non-fundraising Aish global staff,
    • Leveraging our database of 60,000+ donors, and
    • Engaging personal networks / creative new leads
  • Create and implement a strategy to scale the current fundraising model, to include expansion to key cities in North This includes hiring, training and managing all necessary personnel.
  • Develop an infrastructure of 10-15 lay leaders who actively engage in prospecting, stewarding, soliciting and thanking donors in the Tri-State
  • Launch minor and major scale events for parents, alumni and supporters, and develop a plan to steward attendees who are capable of increased
  • Work closely with the Israel office to ensure seamless integration of missions and trips, so as to facilitate increased gifts upon the donors’ return from
  • Further develop relationships with current partner foundations (including Federations and Foundations) to identify increased funding

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fifteen years of proven successes securing six and seven figure gifts in a non profit environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, oral and written
  • A “results” focus and willingness to roll-up sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and collaborate effectively with volunteer leaders
  • A college degree, with a preference for master’s degree
  • Ability to work with colleagues in IST time zone, including early mornings, late evening, occasional weekends and periodic

 

SKILLS:

  • Effective interactions with all levels/types of volunteers, donors and staff
  • Personable, energetic, self-starting nature with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the commitment to fundraising record keeping, tracking, acknowledging, and documenting all gifts
  • Attend meetings, events and conferences within Aish Global and outside agencies/organizations deemed appropriate to the furtherance of responsibilities
  • Proficiency (or willingness to learn) with Google Docs and Calendars, Whatsapp, Slack, com, Salesforce and EOS Management System
