Administrative Assistant for the Finance Department

  This position will provide support for administrative tasks for the finance department. This position reports to the Director of Student Finance, with a working relationship with the Financial Controller and CFO, and will be a member of the Finance department.  

Duties include:

  • Managing of all email traffic coming into the student finance office including tuition@aish and efgscholarships@aish
  • Administrative parts relating to Student Finance Partners:  Masa, Olami, Oorah, NCSY, YU, Touro
  • Includes working with external databases, submitting documentation and forms, updating partnering organizations etc
  • Datot
    • Trip registration
    • Student Updates
  • Following up with parents and students for payments, information or documentation
  • Chasing outstanding debts from both students and customers
  • Data entry
  • Scheduling meetings between parents and Finance department members
  • Administrative preparation for meetings, including parent meetings and calls
  • General administrative tasks, supporting the functioning of the Finance team
 

Requirements:

  • High level of discretion and organization with an attentive attention to detail
  • Ability to use spreadsheets and google workspace
  • Efficiency with respect to email communication
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and very sensitive to others.
  • Fluent in English and Hebrew (mother-tongue level)
 

Job Hours:

6 hours per day, 5 days per week. Hybrid arrangement. Office location is in the Old City of Jerusalem

Afternoon Kitchen Manager

  Aish is a dynamic organization based Old City, Jerusalem, serving up to 1,000 meals daily. We are looking for an Afternoon Kitchen Manager to deliver high quality catering and excellent customer service. Responsibilities include menu planning, inventory, procedures & protocols and budgets.  

Working hours and location:

Sunday to Thursday 2 pm to 9 pm Old City, Jerusalem  

The general key responsibilities are:

- Menus for the educational programs, World Center events and VIP groups - Kitchen policies, procedures and protocols - Staff responsibilities & schedules - Supplies, storage & inventory control - Budgeting and cost control - Development of the catering services and systems - Supervise kitchen equipment, maintenance and cleaning  

Skills and abilities required:

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and driven Digital Experience Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for enhancing user experiences across our digital platforms, including Aish.com, social media channels, YouTube, podcasts, and our Circle community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience design, project management, and automation tools like Zapier, Figma, and ActiveCampaign. They will also be adept at conducting user testing and surveys to continuously improve our digital offerings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of user experiences across Aish’s digital experiences including the creation of user journey maps and user flows.
  • Project manage the implementation of new digital initiatives from conception to launch, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
  • Contribute to ideation and research of Aish’s digital experiences.
  • Develop and manage cross-channel user experience strategies that align with our organizational goals.
  • Implement and optimize automation user flows in WordPress and Circle.so as well as through Zapier, ActiveCampaign, and other platforms to enhance user engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct user testing and surveys to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, education, and development, to ensure cohesive and effective user experiences.
  • Analyze user data and behavior to inform design decisions and improve user journeys.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX design, automation, and digital strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UX design and project management.
  • Curious, love to learn, and learn quickly with a willingness to fail and improve.
  • Proficiency in using UX design tools (Figma preferred).
  • Experience with automation using Zapier, ActiveCampaign, implementing webhooks, tracking pixels, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with user testing and survey methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Passion for creating engaging and impactful digital experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, YouTube channel management, and podcast production.
  • Familiarity with digital communities and community platforms is a plus.
  • Extensive Jewish knowledge is a plus.

Executive Director, North American Friends of Aish

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Executive Director, North American Friends of Aish, is a key member of the Aish Global Executive and is responsible for securing the annual budget for Aish Global. This position will oversee all fundraising activities in North America, including personal solicitation of major gifts for Aish, relationship management, and building/managing a team of development professionals throughout North America.   The Executive Director, North American Friends of Aish will report directly to the CEO.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build relationships with current donors and prospects to solicit new and grow current gifts by
    • Working with respected, motivated, non-fundraising Aish global staff,
    • Leveraging our database of 60,000+ donors, and
    • Engaging personal networks / creative new leads
  • Create and implement a strategy to scale the current fundraising model, to include expansion to key cities in North This includes hiring, training and managing all necessary personnel.
  • Develop an infrastructure of 10-15 lay leaders who actively engage in prospecting, stewarding, soliciting and thanking donors in the Tri-State
  • Launch minor and major scale events for parents, alumni and supporters, and develop a plan to steward attendees who are capable of increased
  • Work closely with the Israel office to ensure seamless integration of missions and trips, so as to facilitate increased gifts upon the donors’ return from
  • Further develop relationships with current partner foundations (including Federations and Foundations) to identify increased funding
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fifteen years of proven successes securing six and seven figure gifts in a non profit environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, oral and written
  • A “results” focus and willingness to roll-up sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and collaborate effectively with volunteer leaders
  • A college degree, with a preference for master’s degree
  • Ability to work with colleagues in IST time zone, including early mornings, late evening, occasional weekends and periodic
 

SKILLS:

  • Effective interactions with all levels/types of volunteers, donors and staff
  • Personable, energetic, self-starting nature with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the commitment to fundraising record keeping, tracking, acknowledging, and documenting all gifts
  • Attend meetings, events and conferences within Aish Global and outside agencies/organizations deemed appropriate to the furtherance of responsibilities
  • Proficiency (or willingness to learn) with Google Docs and Calendars, Whatsapp, Slack, com, Salesforce and EOS Management System

Aish World Center Bookings & Administration Manager

 

Job Description:

  The Aish World Center Bookings & Admin Manager is responsible for the requests and bookings for groups, visitors and events at the Aish World Center (AWC). They will manage the booking policies, pricing, contracts and billing. They will be responsible for management systems and liaise closely with the operations manager for implementation. They will also supervise various administrative tasks for the Aish World Center and the programs in it.   This role reports to the Manager of the AWC and the working hours are 8:30 am - 3:30 pm at the Aish World Center, in the Old City Jerusalem.  

Duties include:

  • Group liaison & customer service
  • Point person for AWC & Aish Jerusalem inquiries
  • Booking and coordinating locations, logistics, equipment and catering
  • Filemaker database: entry and management
  • Point person for AWC operations & implementation of bookings
  • AWC programs management
