Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and visionary Production Director to lead the creation and execution of high-quality video, audio, and photographic content. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on professional with expertise in shooting, editing, photography, and crafting dynamic content for various platforms, including podcasts, broadcast media, and large-scale live streaming events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for studio setup and maintenance, production management, and content strategy, ensuring technical excellence and creative innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Setup and Management
- Oversee the design, setup, and maintenance of a state-of-the-art podcasting and broadcasting studio.
- Ensure all studio equipment is operational, updated, and optimized for diverse production needs.
Content Production and Direction
- Plan and execute end-to-end podcast production, including script outlines, storyboarding, filming, and editing.
- Direct multi-camera video productions for live streaming events, documentaries, corporate videos, VIP visitor projects, and promotional campaigns.
- Lead photography efforts, capturing high-quality still images for events, campaigns, and multimedia content.
- Manage audio production, including sound design, mixing, and editing, to deliver exceptional sound quality.
- Operate as Director of Photography (DP) on shoots, ensuring cinematic quality and effective lighting design.
- Utilize drones for aerial videography and photography to enhance production value.
Editing and Post-Production
- Edit long-form and short-form content, including full-length podcasts, micros, trailers, teasers, and promotional videos.
- Develop and refine visual and audio storytelling techniques to maximize engagement.
- Ensure the timely delivery of polished, professional content aligned with brand standards.
Content Development and Strategy
- Collaborate with creative teams to conceptualize and storyboard projects, aligning them with organizational goals.
- Develop innovative content strategies to engage audiences across podcasts, live events, and multimedia platforms.
- Lead scripting and outlining processes to create compelling narratives.
Event Production
- Oversee the production of large-scale live streaming events, ensuring seamless execution from pre-production to broadcast.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for event planning, technical setup, and real-time troubleshooting.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Partner with the Production Manager to align on project priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Provide technical and creative guidance to team members, fostering collaboration and maintaining high standards of performance.
Required Experience
- Proven expertise in studio setup and ongoing management for film, podcasting, or soundstage environments.
- Professional-level photography skills with experience in event and promotional photography.
- Skilled DP/cinematographer and camera operator with advanced knowledge of lighting and framing.
- Strong sound technician with expertise in mixing and audio design for various formats.
- Advanced editing experience using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
- Comprehensive pre- and post-production expertise, including producing and coordination.
- Certified drone operator with aerial videography/photography experience.
- Proficiency in storyboarding and scripting outlines.
- Strategic mindset with a strong understanding of content development and audience engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in film, media production, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing podcasts, documentaries, corporate videos, multi-camera event videos, and professional photography.
- Background in live streaming and managing high-profile global events.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
